In your role, you will:

  • Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements

  • Proven ability to establish and achieve goals

  • Follows through and meets deadlines

  • Perform management responsibilities, for example, hire/fire, disciplinary actions, PMP and professional development

  • Act as a liason for all interactions with regular authorities, for example, answer LOI, complete submittals, and ensure compliance with regulations

  • Oversee applicable inspections of aircraft maintenance for service and/or overhaul and repair activities to ensure airworthiness and compliance with Repair Station manual, Quality Control manual, and regulations

  • Maintain and continuously improve Repair Station/Quality Control Manual/MOE in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements

  • Review and interpret Aviation Regulations to realign current policies, procedures, and manuals as necessary

  • Develop procedures to administer company quality policy

  • Prepare department budget for fiscal year operations

  • Oversee and administer the Internal Quality Audit Program

  • Communicate requirements of Technician Training and collaborate with Training Department

  • Establish and maintain product quality documentation system

  • Analyze, and review quality-related information and trends to prepare reports on product and process quality

  • Review and implement, as appropiate, current best practices within Quality field to support achievement of organizational objectives

  • Maintain current knowledge of new trends in quality including the while implementing appropiate best practices

  • Communicate with appropiate customer representatives as required, to ensure all quality issues and inquiries are satisified. Also provide performance feedback to customers as required

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

  • 8 years senior level experience in managing maintenance inspections, repairs, quality assurance, quality control teams in a Repair Station/Maintenance Organization environment

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Aviation, Engineering or related field (Degree may be offset by additional experience)

  • Regulatory aircraft maintenance license

  • Working knowledge of local and applicable foreign civil aviation regulations

  • Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications

  • Working knowledge of SAP

  • Previous experience in ISO-certified environment

  • Previous experience with the FAA and/or EASA

  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (e.g., Six Sigma)

  • Working knowledge of accounting and budgeting principals necessary to read and interpret profit/loss statements, financial reports, and meet financial objectives for assigned area and programs

  • . Working knowledge of current trends and best practices within Quality field

  • Thorough knowledge of all applicable Aviation Regulations (FAA, EASA and other applicable foreign regulations)

  • . Thorough knowledge of Safety Management System

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, organizations, and regulatory agencies

  • Business writing skills necessary to create various reports and correspondence

  • Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management

  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees with a multiple project setting

  • Working knowledge of inspection requirements that govern maintenance repair schemes
