What are your contributions to the team?

  • Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized painters working on the evening shift, 8 hours for 5 days or 10 hours for 4 days.

  • Be responsible for the operational processes of the paint shop by achieving and monitoring the objectives.

  • Plan the daily operations such as treatment, sandblasting, paint application and finishing outside the paint shop and follow up on them.

  • Adhere to the management system by reporting and analyzing various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.

  • Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Maintain communication with other departments for any issue related to his sector.

  • Ensure continuous improvement through the use of operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.

  • Ensure the training of its employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.

  • Promote a work environment based on engagement, teamwork, and open communication.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a college or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, operations management or a related field.

  • You have at least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment specialized in painting activities.

  • You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.

  • You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.

  • You are available, flexible and motivated by a stimulating and changing environment.

  • You have excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • You are bilingual.
