What are your contributions to the team?
• Continuously improve the HSE management system for an Operations site in accordance with local legislation, ISO 14001 and 45001 and Bombardier HSE requirements
• Coach Operations management to drive a pro-active approach to HSE
• Use a risk management approach, identify risks and ensure mitigation measures are in place to reduce risks and improve HSE Performance
• Ensure HSE legal compliance via audits & action plans
• Offer front line support to address site specific HSE risks
• Develop site specific procedures to address risks
• Lead site level Health, safety and environmental governance, HSE reporting, regulatory reporting and trends analysis
• Represent the site with external health, safety and environment regulatory agencies
• Participate in site & local HSE committees as well as the joint health & safety committee
• Manage the site HSE team and budget
How to thrive in this role?
• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HSE or in a related field
• You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in HSE, preferably in a manufacturing, unionized environment with experience in a Leadership role
• You have experience in developing and implementing site wide HSE programs, providing both strategic and hands-on support in HSE
• You can work well in a dynamic and complex environment
• You have strong interpersonal skills, presentation & communication skills
• You can interact and interface with all levels of the organization
• You are skilled at setting priorities & reassessing in response to changing demands
• You can think strategically, search for original solutions, strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• You are bilingual (English & Spanish)
